How beep works,
under the hood.

Two short question layers: one for your event, one for each guest.

beep does not use a personality test or a social graph. It uses two simple layers of questions:

  1. You (the organiser) define the frame for the night.
  2. Each guest answers 8-10 lightweight questions inside that frame.

From that, we calculate a match signal (Lime / Tangerine / Cherry) when two people scan each other's badge.

Layer 1: You set the frame.

Before the event, you spend 5-10 minutes setting the rules.

From these answers, beep calculates overlap between any two people who scan each other's badge and shows a simple Lime / Tangerine / Cherry signal.

  • How they like to talk
  • What they are happy to discuss
  • How much energy they have

High contrast; good for a friendly debate

Note: There is no red light and no list of "bad matches". Every scan returns one of three private signals (Lime, Tangerine or Cherry) on each phone; guests decide what to do with it.
